Inclusive Development for Citizens is a formal registered nongovernmental organization with directed efforts towards active inclusion as well as giving voice, capabilities and incentives for the excluded to become active participants in processes of development.
Inclusive Development for Citizens encourages all citizens despite their gender, age or any form of discrimination to become active citizens by engaging fully in decision making as the main agents of change. We sensitize citizens on laws, their rights and responsibilities as well as empower them to a position where they can actively take part in forming the processes of political, social and economic change as a means towards inclusive development.
A Tanzania where people are free to determine their social, political and economic destiny and wellbeing.
“ When everyone is included, everyone wins.“ -Jesse Jackson
Our team comprises of individuals with diverse backgrounds who are passionately driven by our mission. We work in an environment that is open, honest, collaborative, and family oriented. We respect the knowledge, skills, ideas, and capabilities that each employee brings to the team. We embrace our responsibilities, enjoy the process of solving problems, and provide effective solutions and added value to the communities we serve
Our social media platform are directed at increasing public engagement and participation by informing citizens on matters concerning their government, action building, giving voice to diverse and minority viewpoints as well as stand for the voiceless and marginalized through advocating on issues that impact their lives.
We advocate and challenge laws and policies that are deemed unfair or flawed, strive to create an environment of equal opportunities where everyone gets an equal share of the national cake. Our motto is to increase the number of active citizens (not activists in the strictest term). These are the “small group of thoughtful committed citizens” from different walks of life who are committed to make positive sustainable change in their communities. We make good use of online advocacy through online petitions. We acknowledge that petitions in particular have demonstrated that small, collective efforts of many individuals have the potential to create substantial impact. Inclusive Development for Citizens has launched its own petition platform making the petition forms available in both Kiswahili and English.
